Ideogram Canvas, Magic Fill, and Extend
Ideogram Canvas is now available on ideogram.ai! Access unlimited canvases and industry-leading Magic Fill and Extend with any paid plan, or get Ideogram Plus or Pro to edit uploaded images. Developers can use the Ideogram API to integrate Magic Fill and Extend into their applications.
Today, we’re introducing Ideogram Canvas, an infinite creative board for organizing, generating, editing, and combining images. You can upload your own images or generate new ones within Canvas, then seamlessly edit, extend, or combine them using industry-leading Magic Fill (inpainting) and Extend (outpainting) tools. Use Magic Fill and Extend to bring your face or brand visuals to Ideogram Canvas and blend them with creative, AI-generated elements. Perfect for graphic design, Ideogram Canvas offers advanced text rendering and precise prompt adherence, allowing you to bring your vision to life through a flexible, iterative process.

Magic Fill
Magic Fill, our inpainting tool, allows you to edit specific regions of your images to replace objects, add text, fix imperfections, change backgrounds, and more. Ideogram Canvas enables zooming into portions of images to generate new high-resolution details. You can upload multiple images to your canvas and use Magic Fill to combine them into a unified composition. As shown below, to use Magic Fill: 1) select the region to edit, 2) adjust the generation window to focus on a specific area if needed, and 3) enter a text prompt to guide Magic Fill.
Extend
Extend, our outpainting tool, allows you to expand images beyond their original borders while maintaining a consistent style. Adjust the image composition and aspect ratio to fit any screen size without compromising the original content. Combine the power of Magic Fill and Extend to create stunning, creative content. As shown below, to use Extend: 1) adjust the generation window, and 2) enter a text prompt to guide Extend.
